The Need

The Hustle House was asked to provide a programme of leadership development to accelerate the performance of managers in the Customer Success Group. The Chief Customer Officer specifically asked us to focus on developing their confidence to have challenging conversations and building their own sense of authentic leadership.

Hustle House Solution

We devised a modular programme covering three core topics: How will I lead? How will I create the conditions for success? And How will I have the conversations that matter? This was done via live, practical workshops, coaching circles and Learning Partner activities alongside a dedicated learning platform with further resources. The programme was extended based on positive feedback from all participants and so delved into further topics, including navigating change and developing teams.

Outcomes

  • In a presentation to senior leaders, participants shared how they have grown as leaders and highlighted a range of tools that they are now actively using with their teams to improve engagement and performance, as well as helping to create more space for themselves.
  • The initial 3-month programme was extended by a further 3 months and to a monthly cadence of development sessions with the group for one year.
  • The programme was subsequently rolled out – with some tailoring – to other teams and The Hustle House is also facilitating leadership offsites and providing coaching in different parts of GoCardless,  as well as working on their senior leader development agenda.
